Sometimes, with some simple manipulations, the sound appears: I clicked on the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the screen, selected Output 1/2 there. Check that nothing else on the PC is using the ASIO. When there is no sound, a window appears in the Reaper "Device opening error", "Error opening the audio device: ASIO buffer initialization error" I can move the slider for the duration of the song, but the track is on an eternal pause. When there is no sound, windows media player does not play the track (as if it is constantly on pause). Sometimes the sound appears for a short time after turning on the computer, but then disappears. Sometimes there is sound, and sometimes there is not.

NOW, I keep getting the two errors mentioned above when I try to launch Reaper but they are much more pernicious - like I actually have to plug in the interface to a DIFFERENT USB port than was just working the previous session. VS tweaking item volume where all I have to do is drag the envelope or use the little media knobs above the item that I set in preferences.but then that raises or lowers the volume of every take in the stack. Or I could doubleclick, and experiment with adjusting the volume in the media window up to +12 and have to hit ok to apply the changes to see what I did. I did my best trying to explain how it works here but i'll probably make a tutorial video as soon as i have the time (as well as the "no controller" version).įeel free to ask and to tinker with it in the meantime. Input and output tracks are hidden (Check the track manager). If you set up your controller on the first "super 8" values everything is gonna work automatically. if i want to play 4 bars instead of 4/4 i do 16/4). To decide the lenght of the loop you have to use tempo and time signature directly in reaper (eg.
It goes without saying, you have to hit play and let it roll so "super 8" has something to synch to. (it should, REAPER supports WINE admirably). Let me know and I'll gladly shareĮdit: I forgot to mention, to fully use my method you need to have a midi controller of some sort. I've just created a template with 4 Synced Super 8 for live Looping (Ableton style but a bit better I think) is anyone interested? It doesn't seem anyone does it like that.
